Meet Marc Doret

Marc Doret has served as the Mayor of Dorval since November 2021, following a twelve-year tenure as a City Councillor (2009–2021). A Dorval resident for over 31 years, Marc is deeply rooted in the community, where he lives with his wife. He is also a father of two daughters.

Professionally, Marc holds a technical college diploma in Networking and Telecommunications and worked as an implementation consultant for global Retail POS & HR software firms. He also ran a small IT consulting business from 1999 to 2021.

Marc’s leadership extends beyond Dorval. He is a member of the Commission Sécurité Publique de Montréal, the Audit Committee of Montreal, and serves on the board of Concertation Montréal, PME MTL Ouest-de-l'Île, and member of the Union des municipalités du Québec. Nationally, he represents Quebec on the Board of Directors (Quebec) of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), and he is also the Third Vice-President of the FCM Executive Committee.

His community involvement includes serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Golf Dorval and the Dorval Tennis Club. Previously as a board member of the Dorval Soccer Association for ten years. He also volunteered with the Lac St-Louis Soccer Association and was honoured with the Chief Scout Award for his longstanding commitment to Scouting in his youth.
